Wonderful umami in taste and aroma. Invigorating, refreshing, and cleansing. Matcha is also considered exceptionally health-promoting due to its high content of vitamins, minerals, and especially antioxidants.
Preparation: Traditionally used in Japanese tea ceremonies, where the fine green tea powder is sieved and whisked in hot water (approx. 70-75oC) in a ceramic bowl ("chawan") with a bamboo whisk ("chasen") to form a frothy, cloudy, light green drink.
