Trading conditions


For all payment transactions with payment cards, Bornholms Thehandel uses a secure payment system. The customer will be asked for the card number and expiry date when paying by credit card. No PIN code must be provided in connection with purchases on the Internet.

PCI certified payment solution

Bornholm's Thehandel uses QuickPay as a payment gateway. Payment by credit card via QuickPay takes place via a Nets-approved and PCI-certified payment solution. The QuickPay payment solution uses SSL encryption in the communication with Nets (formerly PBS). Likewise, SSL encryption is used in the communication between the customers and the server where QuickPay is located. This means that all information sent over the Internet is encrypted with a security certificate. This means that it is not possible for unauthorized persons to intercept information about the customers' credit cards.

SSL encryption in all communications

SSL stands for Secure Socket Layer and is a security protocol. SSL ensures that data is encrypted in the communication between customers, businesses and other parties in the transaction. This means that unauthorized persons cannot intercept the card number during the transaction. The SSL function is in the browser. This is automatically activated when you shop. No additional software must therefore be installed in order to trade using SSL.

Payment by credit card via QuickPay takes place through our redemption agreement with Euro Line, which also uses a PCI and DSS certified payment solution. The standard is called the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS), which was prepared by the international card networks Visa and MasterCard.

The purpose of PCI DSS is to increase security and thus minimize the risk of theft of card data, e.g. through intrusion into systems. Therefore, all parties that use the international payment systems are covered by the security standard PCI DSS, i.e. companies, service agencies, dealers, software suppliers, hubs, PSPs and other actors who handle, store or transport card information.

3D Secure

3DSecure is a standard for secure payment with MasterCard and Visa cards in connection with
e-commerce. 3DSecure works in such a way that the customer simply states his card number as usual when paying. Via encrypted communication, the number is checked by the card company via a special security server. The customer identifies himself with a password, which the bank verifies, and the seller gets the OK for the purchase to be completed. Foreign cardholders must use 3DSecure when paying with Visa, Mastercard and Diners Club etc.

Shipping costs

Shipments in Denmark - does not apply to Greenland and the Faroe Islands.

  • Single orders per delivery address of more than DKK 500 is free of charge .

For orders with bank payment, the order will be dispatched when the amount has been entered into the account.

Delivery takes place with Post Danmark to the nearest post office (without delivery)

During public holidays, a longer delivery time must be expected. Therefore, order well in advance!

We are happy to send the order to the customer's home address, holiday home address, work or another address to which the order is to be sent. If you want the order sent to an address other than the invoice address, choose another delivery address in connection with placing the order. The order is delivered to the nearest post office when specifying a private address and with delivery when specifying a business address.

If a product is not in stock, it can be pre-ordered and we will contact the customer as soon as the product is back in stock or with information about the expected delivery time. Inquiries about other products, including special blends of tea, can be sent to e-mail

Prices and payment

All product prices include 25% VAT and are stated in DKK. If the customer chooses to pay with a Dankort or credit card, the amount will only be withdrawn from the customer's account when the item has been dispatched from our warehouse. All prices are current prices and are updated regularly.

Order confirmation

When the order has been completed, an order confirmation is automatically sent to the specified e-mail address. The order confirmation states which products the customer has purchased and the total amount including VAT. The order confirmation contains, among other things, an order number, the customer's name and address, payment method, delivery address, an overview of the ordered goods and contact details for Bornholms Thehandel. Order confirmation and invoice are the same document. We recommend that the order confirmation be saved.

When ordering online:

The customer is responsible for the entered address information etc. are correct.

Reservation for price errors, typing errors, out-of-stock items, etc.

Reservations are made for any typing errors, price errors, price changes, discontinued and out-of-stock items as well
delivery error from Post Danmark. In these cases, Bornholms Thehandel reserves the right to cancel the agreement in whole or in part, or postpone the delivery.

Cancellation of order

The customer can cancel an order by contacting Bornholms Thehandel on the same day as the order is placed. e-mail: or by calling 56 94 00 64. Requests for cancellation must be received on the same day as placing the order before 2 p.m. Is the order received after 2 p.m., the order can be canceled until the following day until 2 p.m.

Right of withdrawal

The cardholder has a 14-day right of cancellation from receipt of the goods on all goods that are not food . We do not refund shipping costs in connection with returns. When returning an item, it must be unused and in its original packaging. No labels or anything else may be written or affixed directly to the original packaging. Furthermore, the item must be returned free of charge and at no cost to Bornholms Thehandel. We ask the customer to attach a copy of the order confirmation.

The return item is sent to Bornholms Thehandel, Torvet 24, 3720 Aakirkeby.

If the customer regrets his purchase and returns the purchase, Bornholms Thehandel will, after receiving the returned item, credit back the purchase amount.

Right of complaint
Bornholms Thehandel grants the right of complaint in accordance with the Sales Act and the legislation in force at any time,

In the event of a complaint, the product must be returned to Bornholms Thehandel at the address Torvet 24, 3720 Aakirkeby. Before returning the item, it is recommended to contact Bornholms Thehandel. Some issues can be resolved without returning the item. It is therefore always a good idea to contact Bornholms Thehandel before. Remember to have relevant information ready on the product such as name and reference number as well as a description of the defect and a copy of the purchase invoice.

Order confirmation and invoice
Order confirmation and invoice are the same document, and will be sent to the e-mail address specified by the customer, immediately after the purchase has been completed.

Processing of personal data
Processing of personal data (name, address, e-mail and telephone number - which are necessary to complete a purchase) is carried out in accordance with the Personal Data Act. In connection with entering into an agreement, personal data is processed for the purpose of completing the commercial transaction. In addition, we do not process any personal data, including for marketing purposes, without the customer's consent. We do not pass on personal data to others, unless expressly required by law. This data is treated strictly confidentially and is never passed on to a third party.
