Organic, large-leafed, late-harvested Japanese green tea with very low caffeine content.
Mild and soft with an almost grassy note. Discreet and very pleasant bancha.
Brewing time: 2-3 min. / water: 75-80oC
Bancha has a strong organic and characteristic grassy aroma, as well as a powerful, pleasant taste. In Japan, this tea is often drunk with meals and can therefore rightly be called the Japanese everyday tea. Bancha contains very little caffeine. Bancha in Japanese means "late harvest", and the tea has been given the name Bancha because Bancha (which is actually a sencha) is harvested later in the year than the named Sencha qualities.
