SOUTH AMERICAN HERBAL TEA
Lapacho in a beautiful and very aromatic combination with orange/vanilla flavor.
Super tasty - has a slightly cleansing and soothing effect on the stomach.
Pure lapacho has a pleasant mild aroma reminiscent of vanilla or caramel.
Caffeine-free and low in tannins.
Brewing: 1 tbsp (approx. 10g) + 1 liter of cold water brought to a boil. Boil for 5 min. and let steep for another 20 min.
Can also easily be brewed as regular herbal tea - water 100oC / steeping time 6-8 min.
Lapacho comes from the inner bark of the Tecoma-lapacho tree, also known as the "Purple Lapacho Tree", which - compared to the outer bark - is much more homogeneous, and above all less dusty and with a sweeter taste. Lapacho has a pleasant mild aroma, reminiscent of vanilla or caramel. The tea is caffeine-free and has a low tannin content.
Lapacho has been used throughout most of South America for centuries as a natural remedy and is said to have a wealth of good medicinal properties - including: antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, immune-boosting, soothing for the digestive system, cleansing, slimming (boosts metabolism), etc. In addition, Lapacho contains plenty of antioxidants and can thus potentially counteract cell changes and cancer.
Preparation: Add 1 tbsp (approx. 10 g) per 1 liter of cold water and bring to a boil. Boil for approx. 5 minutes and then let steep for another 20 minutes.
Can also easily be brewed as a regular, tasty herbal tea: water 100oC / steeping time 6-8 min.
