BORNHOLM LATE SUMMER HONEY 2023 - 450g
Experience the taste of the unique Bornholm nature! Our late summer honey is freshly combed and delivered directly from the local beekeeper in Aakirkeby on Midtbornholm (certified member of the Danish Beekeepers Association, of course).
The bees have collected nectar from a host of late summer flowers such as blackberries, thistles and gorse as well as from various herbs. The late summer honey is a complex honey with a great depth of flavor, a dark golden color and strong aroma.
Despite its relatively modest size, Bornholm has a very varied nature. There are rift valleys, forest, lush farmland, heather, white sandy beaches and rocky coasts, and it is possible for the honeybees to search for varied vegetation and thus nectar sources throughout the migration period. The field areas are also limited compared to many other places in the country and surrounded by fences and hedges, which offer different flora than the uniform crop that is grown on the field. Bornholm honey is therefore unique compared to honey produced elsewhere in Denmark; it is simply the very taste of the unique Bornholm nature!
